Another win for Amanda

A former  weekly newspaper editor has been honoured by an annual awards scheme celebrating women in business.

Amanda Chalmers (pictured) won the ‘Excellence In Media’ Award at Ladies First Professional Development Network Business Awards, a Midlands-wide scheme.

She enjoyed a regional Press career spanning almost three decades, editing the Stratford-upon-Avon Herald between 2014 and 2018, before launching Chalmers News PR.

Amanda’s latest accolade follows last year’s success in the Achievers in Media category at the Woman Who Awards, which celebrates inspirational women in the workplace.

“It was such an honour to be among those singled out in a room full of such truly incredible women.

“I never lose sight of how lucky I am to be doing a job that I love and working with some incredible small business owners who continue to inspire me every day. Looking forward to what’s ahead,” she added.

Ladies First director Tracey McAtamney said: “It was wonderful to see so many women supporting and celebrating each other’s successes.”
