Big changes at BBC News
THERE are big changes at BBC News ahead of the merger of BBC News 24 with BBC World.
The BBC have announced the main presenters for the newly merged channel that goes live in April.
All of the main presenters are currently primarily working for BBC World. All of them are first class journalists but so are the familiar names that may well be disappearing from our screens or at the very least continuing in more minor roles.
BBC World is not available in the UK and carries advertisements so when the new channel starts there will have to be a way to fill the ad gaps as advertising is not allowed on BBC programmes in the UK.
It is all part of a move to try to save £500 million.
