Opening for media officer

Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce is on the lookout for a new Media & Communications Officer.

It is a rare opportunity to join the Chamber’s media and communications department, which is responsible for producing the industry-leading Chamberlink business magazine, a variety of digital news bulletins and handling all press office matters.

The successful candidate will replace Darby Newman, the Birmingham City University journalism graduate who is leaving the Chamber after three years to return to her native Falkland Islands.

Press Club member Dan Harrison, head of media and communications at the Chamber, said: “This is a fast-paced, fun and varied role in which you'll be able to help tell the story of the Chamber and its members through a mix of traditional and new media. “If you’re an up-and-comer in the media industry who is looking to take the next step in your career, this could be the ideal role for you.”
